Heathen rage within my blood feels never ending
Conquest has spread to the home of the weaklings
All who stood before me died, and they grant me
Glorious battle, ages will know my name
War-torn, men fall
Fates met in defeat
With the sound of Steel comes judgement
Norns weave my fate and blades carve my wounds
Today my death will bring Me to Heimdall,
I hear howlings behind Bifrost
Ancestors call me,
Bloodline of ancient pride
Valkyries ride to take me to Asgard where gods reside
Hail to the fallen ones
We raise our call to honor thy sons
Faith and glory is our right
With ancient guidance we die with pride
Lord of sky fortress, I approach Heimdall
God of sleepless nights, hearer of leaf-fall
Thousand miles and the future fills your vision
I hear howlings beyond Bifrost
Brothers call me from Midgard, raise pints up high
In drink and feast, they honor me
'Till in battle their fate is to die
Hail to the fallen ones
We raise our call to honor thy sons
Faith and glory is our right
With ancient guidance we die with pride

Imha Tarikat's black metal is not only bursting with passion but also with energy and the guitars are fast and aggressive. And the vocals really are the icing on the cake. I can't explain to myself why this band clicked with me only now. But finally the time is right. mourner

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

This is a prime example of why it is a good idea to listen to a band's debut album first. Kara Ihlas holds 40 minutes of not particularly innovative but nonetheless good, galopping black metal - but compared to the cascading, mind-numbing and furious brutality of its successors, it falls short. The good thing is: an artist should always be measured by his own art, and in the case of Kerem Yilmaz, the progression in his songwriting skill is undeniable and downright soaring. Yaşasın Imha Tarikat! David Fischer
